Labyrinth size: lets make it 10' by 12'.
The goal is to scale a wooden style labyrinth game up to a length of 12 feet. This game is designed to accommodate children visiting Kansas City's Science City museum so the game will be built to about standard table height. Some size considerations. I would like to use an aluminum skinned composite design with extruded styrene foam insulation as its center core. These boards are commonly found at places like Home Depot. We can get 4' x 10' sheets of aluminum which makes the overall game dimensions of 10' x 12' a good size to design for. This design will place the aluminum skin on one side in tension with the other side in compression. |

What about going square? Would gameplay be better if both directions had the same dynamics.

The First Lunacy game is going to cause a lot of that material they use for the field to be scrapped after the regional. I can probably get ahold of some of it.
